Party into the new year with a heightened sense of style. Ladies, opt for a simple LBD (little black dress) and let your shoes and outwear do the talking. This sequin jacket by, stylist turned designer, Rachel Zoe is everything and then some. Adding these Penelope & Coco booties instantly take your look to another level.
Nothing is more chic then mixing and matching of patterns and prints. Guys I strongly suggest a blazer that has some character like this two-toned Diesel one. A solid button down, dark denim, and possibly a bow-tie, if you are feeling extra GQ. You definitely have to bring your A game with the shoes and these Vivienne Westwood loafers are an A+. Have a safe & happy New Years, I can’t wait to bring you the 411 on fashion for 2012. Be safe be chic- @mrtopstyle4u

“No Days Off” w/ Colts Player Jarred Fayson
Thursday, December 29th, 2011Giving up in not an option. Even when those unexpected things happen; you must continue to push. Jarred Fayson has a long history with football and his focus is getting on the field and playing. While interviewing him, I couldn’t help but to get inspired by his ambition to play football no matter what.
ChristieOhh: How old were you when you first started playing football?
Jarred: I was about 7 years old; I started playing at the boys and girls club by my house with my friends. Then I played flag football and move up from there.
ChristieOhh: Thinking back to when you were a kid playing football, what are some memorable moments?
Jarred: I can remember playing little league and winning the Championship. It’s so memorable to me because it was my first time playing in pads; I played quarter back and we had a perfect record that year.
ChristieOhh: College is usually a great time for athletes, what are some of the great highlights for you in college?
Jarred: Yes, college was a great time in my life! I would have to say playing as a freshman in the SCC Conference was very memorable. I was playing at Florida then I tranferred to Illinois. Winning the national championship in 2006 is a great memory too. Also, being a part of winning against Arkansas and graduating from college.
ChristieOhh: You were signed with the Saints as a free agent, how did it go?
Jarred: It went good. I went through training camp with the Saints. While I was there I tore my MCL and was released.
ChristieOhh: How were you informed about your released?
Jarred: I was at the practice facility having rehab when the head coach asked to speak with me. He informed me that I would be released due to my injury and they needed to fill the spot because of the time it would take to heal.
ChristieOhh: How did that make you feel towards football and playing professionally?
Jarred: I knew my career wasn’t over because of my injury-I had to keep my head up, keep my faith, rehab my knee and get back on the field. I wasn’t depressed or anything, I just knew I had to work hard and get well so that I could return to football. I knew the reason I was released so there wasn’t any hard feelings.
ChristieOhh: What has happened since your injury?
Jarred: Since my injury and being released from the Saints, good things have happened. I still have some issues with my knee but I’m healthy and fine. I’m with the Colts practice squad now. My family has played a big part in my life and knew I would get back together and make the best out it.
ChristieOhh: What has this experience taught you?
Jarred: It has taught me to never give up. Professional football doesn’t offer a lot of stability, it’s a little cut throat at times. But it keeps you on your toes. You must work hard and stay focus. Don’t give up no matter what.
ChristieOhh: What can we expect out of you now that your with the Colts?
Jarred: Expect to see me working my way on the field and playing this year. I’m focused!
ChristieOhh: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Jarred: Being a premiere receiver in the NFL, playing on a consistent basis. My goal is to be an overall better player and do what I love.
ChristieOhh: What are some quotes that you live by?
Jarred: Andre Caldwell with the Bengals is a good friend of mines. We always say, “No room for the weak” and “No Days Off”. There are some bible verses I reference and live by too.
ChristieOhh: What’s your zodiac sign and something most people DON’T know about you?
Jarred: (lol) My sign is a Libra and I like to listen to jazz music.

Tuesday, December 27th, 2011VH1′s Tough Love Miami Leilani Dowding
Tuesday, December 20th, 2011This bombshell is more than just a pretty face. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to say it or get it. VH1’s Tough Love Miami Star Leilani Dowding blew us away this season. I enjoyed hearing her sexy British accent, looking at her fabulous dresses and her great debates with Master Matchmaker Steve Ward. I had the chance to catch up with Leilana after the reunion aired to get her point of view about the show, her clothing line and her love life!
ChristieOhh: What was it like being so open about your love life and going through boot camp?
Leilani: I am very open person! I’ve always had my relationships in tabloids and media. It wasn’t a problem for me to discuss things on TV at all. There were certain things that I was a little pissed with Steve about when I first came on the show. When I stated, “I want a successful guy, meaning he’s good at his profession or whatever he’s doing; not just making money.” Like if they’re a doctor they are doing things really well for their patients. Or if you’re a teacher, your kids are learning really well. It doesn’t mean you have a whole lot of money that doesn’t define success to me. There are a lot of people who have money that may have done something illegal or unethical to get it, doesn’t make them successful. There’s a difference to me. When I asked my American friends, why was that such as issue, they informed me that here-success is determined a lot by what you make a year. I want someone with a sense of humor, character, not just a big house or a fancy car. I was a little upset with Steve at first but it all makes sense now.
ChristieOhh: Now that you have went through boot camp, what advice do you have for us ladies who are dating and may not be having the best of luck with it?
Leilani: I always had a vision board. It’s a great way to create what you want in family, love and career. Be specific about what you want. Go through every characteristic. Say you want a reliable guy or an honest guy. I learned from Avonte about respecting yourself more. I love Avonte, she would call a lot of people out but she is very honest and would be the first to respect what you had to say about her. Brigette was so forward but I think when you date someone you should know what you want that from them, instead of just wanting a marriage and kids. You have to get to know a person and see if that person is right for you. The balance has to be there!
ChristieOhh: The dresses you wore on the show were amazing! You have a clothing line, tell us all about the line?
Leilani: I’ve always made my own dresses, even before the show. I like my dresses to look a certain way so I decided to design and make my own clothes. The line kind of happened by accident, I would only have one of course because I designed solely for myself, but people started to ask me if I could make them dresses just like the ones they seen me in and it went from there. The dress I wore on the reunion show was from my line. A lot of dresses worn on the show were from my clothing line. Country Singer, LeAnn Rimes sent me tweets about wearing my line! So, it’s very exciting to see how it’s going.
ChristieOhh: What about the sexy bikini’s we’ve been seeing you in?
Leilani: I am doing a small bikini line. I wanted to do something for smaller framed girls, I am small chested and just wanted a bikini line that tailored to girls like me. You always see very busty girls in swimsuit ads and on TV, this line will give us smaller girls sexy bikinis we can wear and love.
ChristieOhh: How are you and George doing?
Leilana: George and I are still seeing each other. It is becoming a bit of a nightmare though because he wants me to move to Miami and I just can’t with the clothing line taking off and business in LA. I know long distance relationship can work out but it is hard to have a long distance relationship for us. We were super close in the summer and things were really great for us. However, being out LA, and having the clothing line I just can’t make a move to Miami.
When Steve’s mom, JoAnn said something about us arguing about the little things and if something big was to occur, how would we handle it. I’m like what are big things? Coming to cheating that something big or death in a family, you can get pushed together through something big or it a can be something you can move you a part. Like going to jail for 10 years, I’m out (lol), that’s something big and I’m not waiting for someone for 10 years. But there are things that we would not even take the time to entertain.
ChristieOhh: What is your favorite clothing line, shoe and bag?
Leilani: Honestly, I don’t spend a lot of money on things. You can’t wear it often, so when I do spend a lot I purchase classic pieces. My favorite designer is Roberto Cavalli; shoes-Jimmy Choo; bag-Fendi Spy Bag
ChristieOhh: Did the show ultimately help you with dating?
Leilani: Yes! I know if George and I were to ever split up, I would know how to date better in America. I would have to recap what I’ve learned but I learned a lot about dating and myself.
Did you know this about Leilani?
I don’t eat meat. I’m much like a vegetarian. If, I do eat meat I say a little prayer for the animal that died.
I am a big anti-fur person.
I have 3 dogs
I was crowned Miss Great Britain in 1998 and Simon Cowell was one of the judges.
I wanted to be a vet when I was a little girl but can’t stand the sight of blood.
