Washington Redskin Brandon Banks talks dating!

Friday, March 30th, 2012

ChristieOhh: What type of woman grabs your attention and holds it?

Brandon: I’m more attracted to light skinned women with long hair. I like thickiness, more short because I’m not tall; I don’t like tall women like that. Somebody calm, cool and collective. Can be outgoing and like to travel and have fun. Not boring…

ChristieOhh: Why do you think you haven’t committed or found someone to commit too?

Brandon: Timing of things; I’m trying to accomplish a lot in my life first. I travel and focus on a lot of different things like my daughter and it’s just not a good time to settle down for me. Probably in the next 3-4 years it will be time.

ChristieOhh: Do you find that being a professional athlete it’s harder to date?

Brandon: Yes, I definitely think so because you don’t know her intentions. If she really knows who you are or does she like you for the jersey. I think a relationship is best when you come in the game with the girl you are going to be with because you know she is real.

ChristieOhh: What’s an ideal date like with Brandon?

Brandon: I’m a big movies person. I like to go out to eat; somewhere to get to know the other person. I love going to see movies and doing something fun.

ChristieOhh: How will you know when you find the right one?

Brandon: When I can be around that person more than a month everyday. (lol)

ChristieOhh: What goes uncompromised with you ?

Brandon: I don’t like a woman that smokes cigarettes doesn’ t matter how fine she is to me. She has to keep her nails and toes done, it shows me she cares about her appearance.

ChristieOhh: What can a woman do to annoy you?

Brandon: Complaining, I don’t like a woman to complain about everything.

ChristieOhh: Who are your celebrity crushes?

Brandon: Lauren London and Skylar Diggins; she plays for Univ. of Notre Dame; she’s not a celebrity but she is up and coming.

Ford: My main objective is to increase brand awareness in the African America community.

ChristieOhh: How do you come up with your marketing strategies for Ford?

Ford: Conducting research, attending events, asking consumers questions all these things help us determine what productswe should support.

ChristieOhh: What is Ford’s goal by partnering with Tom Joyner’s Foundation?

ChristieOhh: What made Ford decide to actually go on the cruise this year?

Ford: Last year we supported the Explorer. We feel this may be the perfect opportunity to give a sneak peek of the 2013 Ford Escape and will make people aware so they can run out and test drive and buy. Ford: We have a special relationship with a company out of Atlanta called “Play Date.” They will helpbring the party aboard the ship withgames and activities like dance commands. Everythingis centeredon the community and the all-new 2013 Ford escape. Ford will also be giving away cool prizes like an Apple iPod Touch, iPad 3 or Visa Gift Card.

To top it off we are going to give away keys to a 2013 Ford Escape on the cruise. The contest will run 3/26 thru 4/6. I will go on the Tom Joyner Morning show to launch sweepstakes for cruise giveaway. If you didn’t get the opportunity to go on the cruise you can still enter. One of Tom’s listeners or cruise attendee’s will be getting an all- new 2013 Ford Escape.

“I would like to say going on the cruise ship allows us to party with a purpose. We understand through Tom’s foundation, African Americans are being educated. What better way to help then partner and support those that need it” Shawn Lollie, Ford Manager Multicultural Marketing.

There is something about Trayvon Martin!

Monday, March 26th, 2012

There is something about Trayvon Martin! Many have gone before him, none has touched us the way he has, as we watched the horror of the senseless killing of this child, the angelic face, the big brown eyes, innocent, not yet a man but a child, my child, he is everyone’s child. As tragic has his death is and make no mistake all of our hearts are breaking for a life gone to soon, his death has done something that no other person has been able to do, he brought the world to its feet and made us look at this injustice and say no more, not this time, not my child.

To his parents: ”Trayvon had a higher calling for being here. There’s nothing I or anyone else can say will take away your pain. I know that his death has done something in all of my 68 years on this earth I have never seen done before. So many people standing together, “ok” we have marched before, we have stood tall in the face of adversities but we will always remember Trayvon Martin, the beautiful child who made us look at our own children and have the “other” talk about what hate can do, this time it said,  ”No more, Not my child, Let my people go.”

2012 Fisker Karma

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

The Fisker Karma is the world’s first true luxury electric vehicle with extended range! You can get about 300 miles before needing a charge and it has a fuel tank for backup if needed allowing about 9 gal. of gas. So you will save in the long run!

I was told by a new Fisker owner that the stealth mode, spaceship sound and no muffler are great features. “You can’t hear it start and when it’s on,” he says. He doesn’t care too much for the lady’s voice that tells you when you go 5 miles over the speed limit.

Priced around $115K
