Goo Goo

Goo

GooGoo

ChristieOhh: Have you always had a sense of style and wanted to be a stylist?

GooGoo: Yes, I’ve always had a sense of style but I didn’t know I would become a stylist. I was always plus size and had to figure it out; I love clothes and would always put things together and make it work for me. I’ve always had a sense of style and loved fashion!

ChristieOhh: What are some fashion must haves for the spring/summer?

GooGoo: For spring linen options; draw string pants white and/or tan. Every closet needs linen options! Tanks, maxi dress will never go out of style. Thong sandals w/gold or silver embellishments for festivals, park events. I like to keep it chill, easy and flowing. Pastels and V-necks for men. Pencils skirts are great.

ChristieOhh: What is fashion to you?

GooGoo: When I think of fashion, I think of looking great and what works for you. No brands or particular style just feeling great in your style. Fashion is knowing what’s hot and knowing what works for you and rocking it!

ChristieOhh: Where do you get your inspiration when styling your clients?

GooGoo: All of it goes into play depending on occasion, video shoot, event, etc. Typically, when I’m pulling for a client I get creative direction. If it’s a makeover I get a feel of what they want to look like and get photos of looks they find beautiful. I spend time getting to know my client to make sure the look compliments them. I listen to them and what they want to be whether it’s sexy, conservative or both. I accommodate their needs and share my secrets with them! It’s a great process!

ChristieOhh: Is there a clothing/shoe designer you favor?

GooGoo: Shoe designer at the moment-I’m a big fan of Brian Atwood, Pedro Garcia and L.A.M.B.; can’t name just one (lol) Clothing Designers- DVF, Robert Rodriguez, L.A.M.B. line; it just truly depends on the occasion.

ChristieOhh: Whose on your best dressed list?

GooGoo: Charlize Theron, everyday, allday JLo and Victoria Beckham!

Zodiac sign: Taurus

ChristieOhh: Who would you love to style that you haven’t already?

GooGoo: Jill Scott! I like Jill Scott, I like her as a person, she is a warm and bubbly person. I love when I see her styled great it makes me so happy for her. I love dressing people with big genuine personalities and Jill Scott has an amazing personality!

ChristieOhh: What is it like being a celebrity stylist?

GooGoo: I have to be honest I know I am tagged as a “celebrity stylist” but I have to say this because I don’t live in the head space that I’m a “celebrity stylist.” If I never styled another celebrity in life I would be ok but just to do what I love and style; I would be great. I just want to make women look great. Some people make a difference between clientele but I don’t . I love the art itself and it makes me happy to make women look and feel good. I’m very grateful to work with the people I have but it doesn’t validate me, what validates me is to do what I love and make my family proud and God is what validates me!

ChristieOhh: What’s next?

GooGoo: I am working and doing a lot now with Reality TV, hosting parties, speaking engagements, fashion conferences and Season 3 of Mary Mary. Expect to see me still styling and at Glam Suites all over doing hair and makeup for women and men at events.

Neffeteria “Price I Paid” Book Release

Monday, November 12th, 2012

Neffeteria Book Release and Signing Event was a joy! “Neffe” as you may remember her from Reality TV had an awesome turn out and her message was on point. As she gave hugs and shared love with everyone in TAGS (Kandi’s Boutique from Real Housewives of Atlanta), I could tell this is her time to WIN!

ChristieOhh: What made you write “Price I Paid”?

Neffeteria: I wanted people to get to know the real me, I just like everybody else I have the same issues. And I wanted to be connected to my people and the only way I could do that is to write about it. Everybody pays a price and no one ever talks about it. I did!

ChristieOhh: What are some of the things that we can expect when reading the book?

Neffeteria: You can expect tears, joy, motivation, truth, struggle…You can expect all kinds of issues but you can expect a solution and a way to get out. I’m excited about it!

ChristieOhh: What’s next for Neffeteria?

Neffeteria: Well, honestly I will be back to Reality TV but I would love to see what it’s like on the movie scene. I want to step on the movie scene and do movies and learn how it all works. I’m excited about my comeback, I’m excited about my movement and this time you will not see “Neffe” my name is Neffeteria.

ChristieOhh: What is your best advice for someone who has just “Paid a Price” and is having a hard time getting back to themselves?

Neffeteria: My best advice, “Embrace your struggle, know that you can come out of it and when you come out remember you had a struggle”

ABC’s Bachelor & Bachelor Pad’s Jaclyn Swartz talk shows and getting back to normal

Tuesday, October 9th, 2012

ChristieOhh: Your personality really shined on the show! What’s your background?

Jaclyn: I am just completely normal actually. I grew up in Massachusetts, went to University of Wisconsin. After college I moved to New York. A friend told me to do the show and it went from there.

ChristieOhh: How was your experience on the Bachelor Pad and the Bachelor?

Jaclyn: Bachelor really was not as much for me; 25 girls competing for one guy and I’m not just good with mushy feeling stuff. I felt really weird with jumping into a relationship and stuff so fast. Bachelor Pad was completely up my alley! To game and manipulate and win money is totally for me. The whole experience was amazing and totally something I enjoyed.

ChristieOhh: What did you learn from the show?

Jaclyn: I learned that I’m a crier. (lol) I definitely cried in most of the shows; even though you didn’t see it. I’m more sensitive than I thought. I had a really hard time acting and playing a part to win money. So, I rather be real and shun the people I can’t stand. I just went in as me and did my thing. My real tactic worked better and the people being faked went home first.

ChristieOhh: Did you hope to find a love interest?

Jaclyn: I think for Bachelor you go in thinking I could be engaged at the end of the show. But going into Bachelor Pad I was strictly there for money and I was open to the icing on the cake. I went in not knowing who I would be with or who I would go in with. You go in looking for the money and whatever opportunities that may come.

ChristieOhh: What’s going on now with you?

Jaclyn: Right now, in terms of where I am now just trying to get back to a normal life and still enjoying the Bachelor Pad me. I’m trying to shift my career with something more closely in lined with TV and entertainment. So I will see where I end up. For the most part I feel like two people and I am thankful for the opportunity to be on the shows.

“After the show you’re put in a house with 21 people, you build with people and become friends and I think it’s all a really interesting experience. It’s interesting to see how people are in the real world. Just seeing what groups are forming post show. I see Jamie at events and it’s weird and uncomfortable. And see Donna and its fun and exciting!”

VH1′s BBWLA Malaysia Pargo branded “MARRIED” wedding band and other super cute jewelry

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012

Attention All Ladies and their men,

Malaysia Pargo of VH1′s Basketball Wives LA and wife of NBA star, Jannero Pargo has created a new product. This is sure to catch the attention of all the single ladies and married ones too. Recently, Malaysia released an image of the new item on instagram/twitter and so we had to get the inside scope. Three Beats is a luxury jewelry brand Malaysia created within the the last few years. Her initial focus was the kids jewelry line. Shortly after its launch the demand grew and women were asking for an adult women line. Well paying close attention to her fans; she has something new, a wedding band that brands “MARRIED” on your gents finger. This is something a wife can get for her husband to ensure while he’s working out in the gym other females know he’s taken. Or maybe you are the man that wants to prove to his special lady that she is just that and he doesn’t care who knows. Either way this is an awesome invention in our book. We asked Malaysia would she make one for her husband and she stated, “He’s mine and ain’t going anywhere but YES, that’s his finger in picture.”

Attached are other images the Basketball Wives LA star has created. Also, the women’s line is set to launch October 2012. Stay tune.

I’m left with two questions, “Ladies would you buy and fellas would you wear?”

To purchase pieces from my Three Beats Jewelry line, please contact Jason of Beverly @ the Beverly Wilshire. (310) 385-3970
